Bellows
Rendifield Bellows (also known as rubber expansion joints or flexible connectors) are flexible, moulded components used in piping systems to absorb movement, reduce vibration, and compensate for thermal expansion.
They are typically manufactured from natural or synthetic rubber reinforced with fabric or wire and are often fitted between pipe flanges or mechanical components.
All Rendifield Bellows are ISO9001 certified.
Primary Functions:
- Absorb axial, lateral, and angular movement in piping
- Reduce mechanical vibration and noise
- Protect pipes, pumps, and valves from stress or misalignment
- Compensate for thermal expansion and contraction
- Isolate components from system movement
Applications
- Industrial piping networks
- Water and wastewater plants
- Fire protection systems
- Marine and shipbuilding
- Chemical and slurry pipelines (with chemical-resistant liners)
Key Features
- Body: Natural rubber, EPDM, NBR, or Neoprene depending on media compatibility
- Reinforcement: Nylon, polyester cord, or steel wire for pressure strength
- End Connections: Flanged (PN10, PN16, ANSI), threaded, or union ends
- Optional Accessories: Control rods, tie bars, and liners for high-pressure or abrasive systems
